Thanks for joining us!
We are the Sturgills from Kentucky (Roy, Jenny and Tripp – age 10). We have always enjoyed exploring as a family of 3 (and sometimes 4, when our mini Aussie Lizzie is allowed). Almost two years ago , Roy decided we needed to upgrade our motorhome from a different model to a Tiffin Allegro Open Road (2016) 36UA; Tripp has named her several different things, but Huckleberry Tiffin seems to be what will stick. Roy’s rationale for this purchase was to hit the road in a smoother and more enjoyable ride to discover our national parks and set foot in all 48, plus hopefully add in Alaska at some point.
My (most of the time “me” or “I” is Jenny) intention was to start this blog as soon as our adventures in Huckleberry Tiffin began, but that just didn’t happen. However, in June 2018, we took our first of hopefully many trips out west and were simply in awe of the beauty our country has to offer.
Upon our return home, we now have a HUGE list of places to visit, revisit and that list spans several years of travel. To clarify, Roy and I both work full time, but are blessed to have generous PTO and flexibility to enjoy multiple trips each year. We also camp when Tripp travels to baseball tournaments and there are lot of places to explore here in Kentucky as well.
We believe YOLO. Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can experience today, for that day may not be there and if you didn’t do something you wish that you had, you may not be given that opportunity again.
This blog is a journal of those adventures we are not deferring to a day that we may not have.
